That which was lost is found


On the positive side of crawling ventilation ducts: John McClane. Your wife can never again tell you to stop exclaiming "Yippee-ki-yay, [Mr. Falcon]!"

On the negative side: Tom Skerritt in Alien. You're gonna die in there.

  2. I love the logic -- "it's the worst possible place the kid could have put it . . . therefore it's there."

    Because I think the same, every time something is missing.

  3. Ah, just think, when you were her age it was peanut butter sandwiches in the VCR. Now compare the costs of library books down the vent vs, for your parents' generation, new VCRs.

    1. She still likes to stick stuff in VCRs. But they sure as heck aren't as expensive as they used to be. I buy a 50 cent VHS tape for her every once in a while at the used book section of the library.
